No More Pink All Out for Me

I just removed Pinks All Out from my Tivo. I don't expect to watch this show again. The new format is awful. This show should be about the cars and the drivers, it has become a show about how much the crew can talk. They no longer develop a story or let you even get to know the drivers. Remember when you could follow someone as they moved to the final. The voice from a studio is alarming when it comes in. You no longer get to see why or how they pick the field. The behind the scenes stuff is gone. There really is nothing left to keep your interest. Just jumping around and around with car after car going and going and going. You are lucky if you catch a finish of any race. The final straw for me was the recent Charlotte show. Rich showed once again he is the biggest tool on speed. The producers made a big deal about the Duster driver doing well with the arm drop so Rich decided to drop quickly in the final. This of course made the Plymouth a little late getting out. Now it should not surprise anyone that on the next pass for $10K the Plymouth jumped and the money went to the Ford. So Rich why change your drop speed at that moment? The Plymouth driver should have punched Rich in the mouth when the question was asked so do you agree you were out performed. It was not a fair final and for me that was it, I enjoyed watching average people go out and get to race, but there is just to much manipulation of the results for me. I expect this to be the last season for this show. Now maybe someone will do it right and focus on local tracks and local drivers and how much time and money is spent working for the love of running their cars.

Speed used to have some great shows. I still watch it but I also watch the shows on HDTheater with Isle of Man TT, Chasing Classic Cars, Wheeler Dealers, and WRC, which used to be on Speed.

I agree. It could be a great show but they need to drop the stupid arm drop start and use the lights. They need to make the cars and drivers the star of the show instead of the staff.

But it's not surprising to see, just look how fast the original Pinks became unwatchable.

hate pinks all out....like the concept....hate the show. What's the big deal about the arm drop horse shit anyhow? It's not a street race...pretty retarded for him to stand on a box in front of a perfectly good tree and do arm drops to determine who gets the money.
About the only show I can watch is pass time......they have some cool cars/bikes/snow mobiles on there.

and by no way is this show going anywhere. they sell this out in mins here at norwalk well summit but it will always be norwalk to me.

Damn, as much as I hate to say it, I agree with you guys, Pinks All Out is pretty weak, it's always been IMO.

But man, while Rich doesn't seem to have the coolest personality ever, you have to give him props because he really seems to have done a lot for the non-professional drag racing scence with his shows.

if that's the case then let them fill a couple of mid 11 to 12 second fields sometime. I only see the 10 second all out race cars running usually. There are exceptions but most of them are full blown race cars.

Yeah, same here, I think it would be nice to see some 11-12 second street car's battling it out for a change.

But it seems to me like the majority of the guys that come on that show with the 10 second and faster full-blown race cars aren't professional well-known drivers amongst the drag racing circuit. Kind of what I meant by "non-professional drag racing scence".

Quit watching Pinks years ago.. The first and second seasons were the best. After that it just sucked... Best Pink's ever was the 2 brothers that raced. One was a LS1 other was a 69 TA... They both posted on that other forum.. But other than that I quit watching.

I quit watching sometime last season. Just lost interest.

That's what happens though. They get some good numbers and somehow forget what the original concept of the show was in the first place. Production and the front man take center stage. Then they lose those numbers and it gets canceled.

And, I agree on Rich and his stupid arm drop
