Track Wheels - Bogart D10's
I am taking the plunge and ordering up a set of Bogart D10's. 15" x 4" frontrunners and 15" x 10" for the rear with the billet center caps. I really do not wish to tear up our street tires at the track. The original plan was a spare set of stock wheels with 17" drag radials in the back and the fronts narrowed. However, after mulling it over, I just really like the look of a true set of drag wheels and tires -- not to mention the enhanced performance.
I spoke with Mr. Bogart a couple of times this week. He replied to my e-mail inquiry the same day. Answered all my questions and seems like a stand up guy to do business with. Thanks to "hijinx" on here who runs a set of D10's for helping out as well. They look great on his car and that was my inspiration -- wheels make or break a car imo. I wanted to talk to someone who is actually running these wheels to see how they cleared the brakes and wheelwells. Pics to follow when they arrive...

Lets see some PICs....I went with Greg Weld on the front and using 93 T/A wheels for the rear. (until a get enough money for new rear wheels) What kind of tire are you using on the front?

How about some tire recommendations? Both brand and size, please.

What are you wanting out of the tires?
Slicks? DOT? DR?

Primarily for use at the track, but would like to be able to putter on the street as well -- just to some local shows.

A4 spinning a 12 bolt with 3.73's. Currently riding on stock springs and shocks and held in place with tubular UMI suspension pieces.

So no more than a 27" tire.
To maintain the gearing, a 26" tire would work best. Taller will effect the gearing.
26x11.5x15 Hoosier QTP should hook you without issue....

Happened upon a local supplier for Hoosier tires. Damn near $20 cheaper per tire than Jeg's and no shipping charge. Ordering up some QTP's next week, just had to ask a question about the diameter difference from front to rear. Thanks guys!

The ET Streets will hook better.
Although, I don't think you will have any problems with traction using the QTP's. And they are better on the street (if you will be driving at all around town).

My engine is still stock H/C/I, and with the A4 it actually hooked pretty well on the Falkens. Probably for the recreational type of stuff I'll be doing the Hoosiers should work just fine. Also, the size of tire I am trying to go with isn't available in the ET Streets -- I would have to go one up or one down.
