Extremely spoiled, squeeking to be let out (Again!) as I type this We have to keep the back of his legs shaved so he's not nearly as fluffy as yours

You know what though... sometimes I wish they weren't as fully. Like when I'm taking 5-7" long white hairs off my clothes Caleb's tail is super long. Eli hasn't gotten his full coat yet.

    Doggy door FTW

With my luck there'd be a damn tom cat, possum, or ra-coon climb in the doggie door and go through my kitchen garbage. In the case of the tom cat, it'd spray everywhere (somewhere OTHER than the flowerbed mulch, that is).

There is NO WAY my Dachshunds, or the Papillons for that matter, would let anything through either of their doggy doors. Treeing Raccoons or cats that get into their yard is one of their favorite pastimes. God help the one that tries to get into 'their' house

God Lord, yeah, mine would. We have toy poodles and the Papi. Whereas Lumi chases anything that flies or runs during the day, they're crated at night. The possum'd just walk by their crates and laugh at 'em. I'm sure they'd raise hell barking but by then the damn things in the kitchen so I've got to get the door open and find a firearm or bat at 3am.

Well, being kenneled up at night is a disadvantage when you're wanting to do some good olé raccoon chasing as one walks by your crate

Or... you could close and lock the doggy door and not worry about it

Didn't know they made lockable versions. Thought they were still the rubber flap at the bottom of the door type.

Yeah. They have a door that slides in from the top and locks. Both mine are slider doggy doors. But, the doggy doors for entry doors/walls lock the same way. You could close it at night or when you leave the house if the dogs are kenneled up.

Hmmm...might have to look into that option then. Then we could hear him/them going out and coming in, going out and coming in, going out and coming in, fight, going out.
