Totally justified. Not only did she assault him but it was a distraction punch more than anything. He didn't even break stride between the punch and putting her arm behind her back.

After seeing this video there is no doubt that bitch deserved to get punched. They both should have gotten maced or tasered, slammed on the ground cuffed and thrown in the back of the car. The cop was defending himself, he had to girls pushing, shoving and carrying on then one pushes him, all the while being surrounded by on lookers/possible threats. Shes lucky she only got punched. I love how a situation goes bad and the cop gets blamed why are the two ignorant dumbass bitches that decided to resist the officer not being blamed they started all of it.

Cop alone with no backup with a crowd of people around while two bitches resist arrest and assult the cop. One of the girls has done this before.

If they both would have had some human decency and not act like trash, all he may have done was give them a verbal warning.

I have a couple of nephews that are brothers.

One of them was acting up and ended up getting tossed on the ground by a couple of cops. The brother decided that no one was going to treat his brother that way so he jumped in and got involved. He ended up tazed and confused... but he figured out right away what a dumb idea that was. Ended up in jail and assault on an officer charges and the whole bit.

I don't feel one bit of sympathy for him for that. Just like I don't feel any for her. Did he over-react? Possibly, but when you're a cop dealing with an unruly suspect and you're dealing with someone interfering on top of that when it's someone that should have not gotten involved... I'm saying he didn't do anything wrong on that one.

When I was a first responder back in high school, all the officers I was paired with told me this:

"ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR SIDEARM...NO IFS, ANDS OR BUTS!!! A CRIMINAL COULD GET HOLD OF IT AND WE'RE KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR OFFERING OUR CONDLENCES TO YOUR FAMILY!!!"

An officer HAS to protect his/her own life...ALWAYS. I remember that poor lady cop who was beaten almost to death years ago. I have seen the vid a few times. Man, does that piss me the hell off.

Yup. And as he is punching her, you can see her hand reach up into the view of the camera and her hand just fell like she was dead. My heart sank.

what do you think of the actions of the officer in the vid?
IMO he made a bad choice, he should've stepped back, take the tazer out and yell at those b!tches to lay down
no need to struggle like he did, he just put himself in danger by prolonging the fight and not just from the 2 chicks but also from the crowd getting bigger and bigger
