Help with a vin #...

can any one tell me where I can look up a vehicle history report for free?
I have a 03 tahoe and I think it has been in flood.. there is a lot of water mark's behind the trim all the way to about the windows from what I can tell..
and I am needing to find out weather or not it has a salvage title or not so I can pursue legal action if needed.

GMVIS (GM Vehicle Inquiry System) won't tell you everything that ever happened to the car, but I could tell you which GM dealer sold it, every warranty claim it had and which dealer did the warrenty work, the RPO options, whether the car has a warrenty block or branded title(ie wrecked or flood vehicles have warranty blocks and branded titles), or recall info.
According to my info, nothing out of the ordinary happened to this truck. It only has like 4 warranty claims (nothing that points to water damage) and doesn't have a branded title or warranty block.
It was sold in SNYDER , TX
