2010 ZR1 w/ Launch control
Basically the same for 2010. It has a new traction control system which I'm skeptical on how well it will work, but most notably Launch control? How good will that be on a Rear wheel drive 640hp car?
here's the article:
The ZR1 returns for 2010 with new Performance Traction Management (PTM) technology. It is an advanced system that is part of a new Launch Control feature that optimizes traction for greater and more consistent on-track performance. The Corvette ZR1 is powered by supercharged and intercooled 6.2L engine that is hand-assembled at GM’s Performance Build Center. It is rated at 638 horsepower (476 kW), making it the most powerful production car ever offered by Chevrolet and GM.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I saw a ZR1 going the other way on the way home last night. The hood is unmistakable.

Yea, that car is pretty incredible. I think it's safe to say it pretty much owns everything out there on the market right now besides the Bugatti Veryon and those ridiculously expensive track specific setup Ferrari's and Lambo's.

Arctic White, red/gray- 1997 Corvette, 92 Typhoon
z06 traps 124-128mph, zr1 has seen 135mph stock. Its just hard to launch a car with 300trq at idle. Lingenfelter had there bolt on zr1 into the 9s trapping 145+mph, a bolt on z06 will never touch that. I know you were comparing stock vs stock but the potential for the zr1 greatly outways that of the z06, obviously because one is FI.

It will even keep up with some of those cars on big tracks. I personally love this comparison
Enzo- 1.2million, best posted time around the ring in stock trim 7.25
ZR1- 105,000, best posted time was 7.26 but now is 7.22
1.1million price difference, for nothing more than a nicer interior and more rarity.

the same thing can be said about quite a bit of cars...viper vs zr1, riced out civic vs a Z06, etc...Is the price worth it, obviously to some people it is...but some people laugh at you for owning a lsx powered car when you can take a 5k civic, slap a turbo and nitrous on it, and pound on your car all day...

Yea, just like I said, it's an incredible car, you really can't beat em'. Well, all corvettes for that matter. IMO, with those cars, you really get the most out of your money when compared to everything else thats out there on the market right now. They have an incredible "bang for your buck" (reffering to the C6's) factor.

that really wasnt my point, my point was that you can take a shitbox, make it fast, then argue x$ more, for a nicer interior, and more of a rarity.
