Some repros of ss spoilers have that lip ive seen it a couple ties. Even the original ss spoilers had a small lip because they were cast as 2 pieces...

Red- 2002 SS Camaro
It looks like one of a stock 02 SS.

This is correct. Factory spoilers are a 2 piece design. The lip is a result of where the 2 halves meet.
All of the reproduction spoilers I've seen are one piece.
You either have a factory spoiler, or you have somehow found an aftermarket spoiler that has went to the extra trouble of trying to duplicate the look of a factory piece.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I think it's a factory 98-02 SS spoiler as well. The lip on those were taller than the 95-97 if I recall.

No supports until 98. The lip was smaller on the 95-97 though.

TRIPLE BLACK- 2000 CAMARO SS M6 #2100
i see what your sayin... that lip is a bit bigger that the stock spoiler. i just ran out to look at mine after seeing this to be sure. stock has a very small one where the seem is but is not as thick as that one. was it primered like that when you got it? maybe it was damaged and filler was added to make it that way...

thats what i was thinking, that the lip was bigger. Its wierd because i would just say yeah its probably an slp spoiler because of the brakelight (saying slp) but the SS spoiler i have on the car rite now, says slp on the brakelight also and it has no lip at all. So i dont know, the one i picked up yesterday (with a lip) looks like it will fit better and i like it a little more so im gonna paint it and see how it comes out. i'll post when im done.
EDIT: i titled the thread "check out this ss spoiler" like it was gonna be something different and people clicked on it and its all a stock (primered at that) SS spoiler, you guys were probably like, wtf thats just a regular SS spoiler, nothing that needs to be "checked out". i thought i found this different SS spoiler that no ones ever seen before, ha ha im retardedLast edited by ggino85; 05-08-2010 at 06:31 AM.
