It' called a Scutigera coleoptrata,
These centipedes are nocturnal hunters. They hide in dark, damp places during the day and come out at night to catch insects. Because they're so shy, you seldom see them unless they fall into the sink or bathtub and can't get out.
What should you do if you encounter one of these strange creatures skittering around your house? Walk away and leave it alone. It will run and hide.
House centipedes are harmless to you and your family. In fact, they're your allies, providing free pest control.
If you just find it too freaky and don't want it in your home anyway, just cover it with a glass, slip a piece of cardboard underneath it, then take it outside and release it. To keep it from returning, use a dehumidifier to dry out your house. That will make it an inhospitable place to house centipedes.
Despite their name, house centipedes are quite capable of living outdoors. They can be found under logs or rocks or behind rotting tree bark.
Take care of these miniature, invertebrate wonders and they'll help you control your pests.

/jealous
I want to be able to be a Steve Irwin in my own house.
Oh... wait...
Hmmm. Not as great as I imagined.
Perhaps it's much more enjoyable when there's a layer of glass between you and said creepy crawlers?
I dunno what they're called.
I don't let them get bigger than the diameter of the middle rivet in a soda can that anchors the pull tab (Not including the legs ofc) before committing some spider-law felonies on their asses.
Actually considering my power over them, me killing them would probably be more along the lines of "natural disaster" or "act of god" than "murder 1" in spider world.
Well now I just feel bad.
But it's not my fault. If they don't want to get obliterated, they should look cute. Who can hurt something that's cute? Not me.
Unless it's really fucking annoying or something. Then maybe. But I'll still feel bad about it.
Probably.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Some earwigs bear their young live and they care for them as they mature. Only a few insects do this.

Going from that picture you posted....I searched online and found this site: http://www.whatsthatbug.com/category...es/centipedes/
Maybe you already looked there....but it's a good source to view what other people are trying to figure what type of creepy crawler is amongst them.

We get these in our utility room in the Spring. They're really annoying because they jump and it takes a couple of hits with the shoe to finish 'em off. The first time I saw one=
