2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
He'd have to fight in his weight class so no 275 vs 160.
I think he'd apply whatever it took to win (within the rules) same as everybody else.

He'd hold his weight divisions belt for awhile. Not because he was the best for his time but because from what i've read he believed pretty much in what MMA fighters do. He believed in using what works and mixing different fighting styles to match any given situation.

Jesus...any mma fighter worth a shit would hand him his ass. The sport has evolved way, way past Bruce Lee. Look at fighters just 3-5 years ago like Matt Hughes, Chuck Liddell, Rich Franklin...who were all very dominant champions and looked unstoppable. Now guys are beating them relatively easily. Bruce Lee wouldn't have a chance, any contender would make him look like a sparring partner at best.

Lee's striking speed from three feet with his hands down by his side reached five hundredths of a second.[91]
Lee could take in one arm a 75 lb barbell from a standing position with the barbell held flush against his chest and slowly stick his arms out locking them, holding the barbell there for 20 seconds.[92]
Lee's combat movements were at times too fast to be captured on film for clear slow motion replay using the traditional 24 frames per second of that era, so many scenes were shot in 32 frames per second for better clarity.[93][94][95]
In a speed demonstration, Lee could snatch a dime off a person's open palm before they could close it, and leave a penny behind.[96]
Lee would hold an elevated v-sit position for 30 minutes or longer.[88]
Lee could throw grains of rice up into the air and then catch them in mid-flight using chopsticks.[97]
Lee could thrust his fingers through unopened cans of Coca-Cola. (This was when soft drinks cans were made of steel much thicker than today's aluminum cans).[95]
Lee performed one-hand push-ups using only the thumb and index finger.[89][97][98]
Lee performed 50 reps of one-arm chin-ups.[99]
Lee could break wooden boards 6 inches (15 cm) thick.[100]
Lee could cause a 200-lb (90.72 kg) bag to fly towards and thump the ceiling with a sidekick.[89]
Lee performed a sidekick while training with James Coburn and broke a 150 lb (68 kg) punching bag.[88][101]
In a move that has been dubbed "Dragon Flag", Lee could perform leg lifts with only his shoulder blades resting on the edge of a bench and suspend his legs and torso horizontal midair

under Bruce Lee's rules and in his prime, i think he would dominate .. under UFC's rules i think he would hold his own but would be limited in his fighting style so hard to say.

Bruce Lee trained Chuck Norris for a while, even after Chuck Norris was well known for kick boxing.
Bruce Lee cannot be compared to any other fighter today. He was traditional yet often combined many style into his fighting. He studied many different styles for many years and created Jeet Kune Do, the style without style because it is movements and thinking from many different aspects of fighting.

I did a report on Bruce back in school. It was more interesting then I would have thought. (FYI) you know those focus mitts used by boxers and just about every discipline, Bruce invented those. In order to test this comparison fairly, we would have to look at in both eras respectively. Bruce wrote the Tao of JKD which was the frame work for mix martial arts. Therefore you could credit him with the concept 30 years before MMA ever hit main stream. In fact that was one reason he was so hated by the elders. They were upset that he was "sharing secrets with the west and polluting their styles."
So let’s break it up.
MMA in 1965
-Bruce had fought in no hold barred and no weight classes numours times in Hong Kong.
-He was once arrested for fighting on a roof top against 3 men...and still won
-Repeatly entered the Long Beach Karate championship against the best (no weight class) and won.
-Physical specimen. He had reached that level with no protein shakes, no RIP FUEL, no diet supplements, no vitamin bottles and no doctors’ help. Just cock and balls!
-Many of his records still remain untouched.
-He could kill you 5 times before you hit the ground.
-Held golden gloves in boxing matches
-Bruce is a much better actor as well.
So if you set up a UFC fight in that time frame he would have domimiated.
MMA 2010
-Training is top level
-Schools dedicated to the sport
-Many train (within the rules) for years before ever going pro
-Many more competitors
-Better health science
-Faster recovery care
I would say that if 23 year old Bruce were to fight within his weight class. He would easily and quickly learned JJ and was already a skilled wrestler. (Much like Chuck, nobody saw it because nobody got close enough). He would have adapted "like water" and overcome his opponents. In open weight class I could see him having more problems. However it would not take Bruce long too adapted to fighting larger opponents and after a few loses he would have found a solution.
So in this experiment, I would still give the edge to Bruce. No only did he pioneer it but also proved it. His concepts are still used in law enforcement and military. Plus 40 years later he is the bench mark for Martial Artist.
Now I'm not taking anything way from Gracie, he is a master in his own right. Again he changed martial artist forever. This thought process was the same as Bruce. Take away the forms and you can over come anyone.
