I have a 98 TA 1st I did the LS6 intake and then a set of QTP race headers no egr fittings just clean headers polished stainless. I like kooks but there alot more money buy if you have it there a little better but mine work fine and look great polished.

so would it be more wise to worry about my intake, ls6 manifold and then work to the headers? already has a b&b triflow exhaust just looking for a easy way to start this haha.

The headers are good but I would look on the forums and you cam usually find nice used LS6 intakes off newer models when people pit the fast intakes on. That way you can have the egr and rear 02's deleted at the same time and get a tune since your doing the headers. I liked the intake got it for $250 in mi t condition off a local shop and charged me $50 extra to install it. BTW when you do you header do it right the 1at time get the 02's delete instead of those crappy sims and while I was at it I got some 02's for a vette so you don't was money on extensions since I find it's always good to install thing while your taking them out anyway also good time for some new plugs if you haven't done a tune up recently.

QTP was out before ARH or Kooks and has held the "great quality and performance hat" for a while.
The best in order best to worst, (my opinion): QTP, Kooks, ARH, BBK, Stainless works, Edelbrock, Hooker, Pacesetter/Texas Speed, Mac(mids), Ebay

Do what ya like but my hooker lt's didnt require the removal of anything but the factory exhaust. I didnt even have to remove the oil filter or the starter and it was done in the driveway on jackstands. They fit right in and they were a good design. Fit tight against the floor board but still left an inch of clearance and dont hit at all . TSP y pipe was a bitch to install because of their design, not the headers. Hooker gives egr and air gaskets and an egr block off plate with o2 extensions in the box. Paid 260 shipped on ebay from speedtweekers.

Do yourself a favor, install poly motor mounts while the exhaust is off!!! If not then headers will have to be removed to do mounts. No sense in having to do it twice...
