let me here your thoughts on this!!!
K so my fiance is sick of the 2.0 tiberon and wants a real car.
I found a 2002 ws6 black a4 100% stock except different tail pipes with 87xxx miles on it the dealership is asking 11,900 for it and it looks pretty clean except for some chipping of the paint on the back hatch right above the tail light.

I would say 10k would be the max for a car ith those miles. Also ask for a carfax. Paint chips on front bumpers and hoods are common on a car with those miles. But chipping paint on a hatch makes me wonder if it's been hit, repainted, and not prepped right and that is when the shipping is coming from whick also could mean other things. Also check the gaps. I went to look at a 97 LT1 and 1st time I saw it I gave it a quick look and the paint was nice but the second time I went to look it over and possably buy it I noticed the hatch gaps were off because the car was obviously hit and then 1//4 panel was replaced and the new was was welded slightly crooked. It didn't affect opening it and closing but it's alot of trouble for me to remove it and reweld it to fix the problem so I passed on the deal. Was too bad it was a 87 with 92k miles and I could have got it for $2500 since I know that dealers buisness was slow since his cars had been sitting there for a month or more. Always make sure all the gaps line up or you maybe sorry later if you try to sell it and someone else catches it.
1998 Trans Am 85k miles.

navy blue metallic- 2002 camaro ss
Knock that price down. I bought a 2002 camaro ss conv. m6 with 72,000 miles for 10,500 out the door. They will rack up another 1,200 on top of that price when you sign the paperwork

Black- 01 Z28 M6
The dealer probably has about 8500-9k in it (cost)
offer them 9750 + ttl out the door
I pay 10,2xx max + ttl
they'll probably still make about 1k profit

book value is 13,400 from a dealer you might be able to talk him down, remember he's gettin this from a dealer not a private seller

Try and talk them down. Yes you will pay a little more at a dealer.
This is just from PA don't know if its in other states:
Sales tax in PA is 6% retailers get a discount if paid by a certain time of 1% discount.
For financing dealers make 1% on that as well.
I used both of those to neg. a deal on my camaro.
I got it 3 years ago for 11500 out the door. 2002 z28 a4 39k miles

Ya if I had the extra cash I would have bought it but I won't be able to buy another cr or maybe truck for a few more months. Gotta finish my TA just a cam, stall, and nos left. I also just got a 93 5.0 that I gotta redo the interior and some paint work on. Has some bolt ons and I might add a few more but it's a auto convert so I'm not going wild.

deals are out there if you wait for the right one...someone could get into a financial crunch and need to sell ASAP, so many circumstances come into pricing these cars...the dealer might be content with having the car sit on his lot for another 6 months who knows (not that he'd want to lol)...if your not in a rush to get one hang out on here and ls1tech ive seen some solid deals roll through i'd love to have jumped on
