well i took the class in january 09....on a saturday...and lost my job the following monday....so i decided to hold onto any extra cash i had....so i couldn't fork over the $140.
Well it too until june for me to start working again, but then i had to move and rent went up a lot, etc, etc.
so i finally had the cash and got it sent off around thanksgiving, but they sent it back because i left off a zip code of a previous address....well it went to my old house, so it took a few weeks to get it back, fixed, and resent off, that was in early january...license came in at the first of april, but again, still back to my old house, so i just got it a few days ago....now i gotta turn around and change addresses

mine looks better, first of all mine doesnt have the foofy writing where it says texas.. block lettering. taller dude on it, more handsome, chiseled features, better shooter, etc etc etc.
seriously, I dont know what to do with my old permit. I called DPS and they didnt want it back, and I still want to hang on to it so the cops dont freak out when they find out I have a cc permit in another state. im kinda in conceal carry limbo.

Are we reciprocal with AK or does AK observe the TX license? If so, keep it and carry, even if you have your AK license. There may be states in the S that recog. the TX license that don't the AK license and you can carry there.

yeah...see if AK recognizes a TX permit...I'm pretty sure AK was one of the specific ones that we discussed

if you are a resident here, you can carry concealed. if you are a visitor, you cant, unless you are pimping your out of state concealed license. The cops probably wouldnt give a fuck though. the only reason you would get an AK conceal carry license is if you want to carry in other states that are reciprocal. pretty much everyone here realizes that you might want to fish without risking being ass raped by a bear or pack of wolves or something. thats one of the reasons why its so lax. I just remembered from my concealed carry class that they get all butthurt if you move and dont inform them, and you might lose your license. I just didnt want a boo-boo on my permanent record or something
