Yea, I see your point, but with the F-body, do you get that super nice interior?/Handling? No. And that 8.50 F-body would probably just end up being a straight up track car, if not, im sure it would be extremely unpleasant to drive on the street, that GTR is a street car, dude can drive that thing to and from the track, thats really impressive imo, and it runs 9's. I'm not sure if that can be acheived with an f-body....

Yea, thats really cool. But still, you just can't compare the two in my eyes, the handling, the interior, etc. you just can't compare them, hands down, the GTR is far superior. Even though the LS1 T/A is an astonishing car for it's age.
Now if we were talking about something like a vette, then i would feel different, but trying to compare a 8 year old T/A to a GTR??
I know that 9.40 T/A is extremely fast and is awesome as shit, but the GTR is on a completley different level.Last edited by Transamws6; 03-25-2010 at 07:34 PM.

17 year old t/a design... 28 if you look at the third gen chassis and suspension, which traces back to a fracking 35 year old MONZA
You can drive an lsx in the 9's anywhere. Your mileage suffers over stock of course but there is no detriment to driveability (given most at that speed are auto). 472 with nitrous, a/c, full interior, and t-tops http://www.advancedracingdynamics.com/pages/owen.html# <-page is outdated

MOD LIST:
AMS upgraded bolt on turbo's
Upgraded actuators
AMS 90mm downpipes
AMS 90mm Resonated midpipe
AMS 90mm exhaust
AMS Front mount intercooler
AMS 3" intercooler piping
HKS bov's
AMS Large MAF intake pipes
AMS fuel System upgrade
Cobb AP
AMS Custom Race gas map (unleaded 109 octane)
That is the complete mod list, no engines have died in that car, it does have a rebuilt tranny though.
You can clearly see the car has probably like 18"+ rims on it and the site i got this link from says it's on low profile street tires.

Its on Drag Radials all around as seen plain as day in that video. They don't corner all that well. Trust many shop cars have work done that isn't mentioned in the build lists. I'm sure there's plenty of things done to it that don't just make more power which is all you listed. Like say the proper safety equipment to legally run those speeds

It was not a strictly track car. The LSx family engines are amazing as far as performance and still maintain drivability
