Hell, my mother's side of the family is Puerto Rican. Some of her relatives still roll their "R"s and have a heavy accent but they learned english and they agree. If you come here from another country and don't want to adapt here, then go home.

I wasn't arguing that, I fully agree that people shouldn't be here illegally, nor should they live here without knowing English.

That comment was directed at the comments insinuating that the worker being Mexican attributed to his driving ability.

For the record, I came here legally knowing perfect English for my age, yet had to adapt quickly to speaking American so people could understand me

I have yet to pass a citizenship test......I speak the language.....and I am NOT here illegally. I also know people who dont speak any english and are citizens of the USA.

I dont see your point here.

    you're ignorant
I've met guatemalans, peruvians, costa ricans, argentinians, salvadorians in CA
and these are just the ones speaking Spanish as their first language

No, but it likely contributed to his not being able to speaking english.

The United States has no national language thus not requiring its citizens to know the language even if you are legal from Mexico or where ever you still don't have to know English...beef up border patrol as well

You can single out Mexico on this one. I'd say most people coming to the US from countries besides Mexico learn to speak English when they get here, if they dont already speak it. Mexicans on the other hand seem to expect people to speak their language.

We need to stop making public signs with both English and Spanish on them. Then maybe people would kinda get a hint. Speak English or GTFO.
