He wont be banned or removed form the car. He may be put on probation and maybe a small drivers points penalty, but thats it. In the replay you could see his hands turn the wheel to the right, so there's really no denying it.

no one remembers the Big E and Waltrip races, or Big E turning Labonte at Bristol, or Yarborough/Allison at Daytona? It's part of the sport. The drivers and fans have been so castrated that no one realizes that anymore. The only 1 of those 3 that might not have been intentional was the Yarborough/Allsion wreck but I bet after the first bump it was intentional from there on out.

If I remember correctly he won a lot! 76 wins 7 Championships

NASCAR needs some good o`l fashioned racing. Not every race needs to be a wreck fest, but they really need some bad guys out there. I have nothing against any of the drivers, but they sure need some drivers with personality`s, good or bad. They also need a good rivalry between competitive drivers.

That race really sucked until the Edwards incident and the last few laps. I wish they could break up some of the point races into segments like the All Star race or just make the races shorter. Just look at the last three races (California,Vegas, Atlanta), they are terrible races and race tracks, look at the stands(Empty Seats). Who wants to sit through 500 miles of that?

I think there are to many of the big 1.5 and 2 mile tracks and they are killing NASCAR, along with some other stuff.

7 championships to 4 isn't it? I'd say Big E has won almost twice as many.

The only Winston driver to win Rookie of the Year and the Championship in successive years (1979, 1980).

    Five-time NMPA Driver of the Year ('80, '86, '87, '90, '94)

    Only three-time winner of "The Winston" ('87, '90, '93)

    Only six-time Busch Clash winner ('80, '86, '88, '91, '93, '95)

    Four-time IROC champion ('90, '95, '99, '00)

Wrecking someone at 110mph in a turn vs turning someone at 195 mph on the frontstretch at Atlanta. Is it the same? No.

and he died before he had to go through the DW years .. where he stayed around and raced long after he should have retired .. also NASCAR would invent rules just for him to win those championships .. But I will not try to convince Sr fans of those because they have No 3 colored glasses on ...

i can't believe Edwards did that on purpose. he pretty much says "Yeah, i did it on purpose. Didn't mean for him to go airborne, but whateva" in the interview afterwards.

i've actually had the pleasure of driving on AMS. fun stuff
