B&M 4L60E Shift Improver Kit
Has anyone installed the B&M 4L60E Shift Improver Kit?
I'm new to this whole thing and dont understand what it does other than the sellers write up and claims. You guys are actually my enablers before I joined if I didnt know what something was or how it worked, I JUST MOVED ON. Now
the only thing that is slowing me down at all are paydays come to slow.

these shift kits are pretty straight forward ,just be sure to read each step two times and understand exactly which hole your enlarging, and to what size ,good luck and remember DONT RUSH, rushing leads to cussing your mistakes, and if you have any questions stop ,and come here ,ive done quite a few different shift kit setups on these, transgo,B&M,and a few others.B&M is the most simple install.but still can be confusing sometimes .

I have heard better from trans go, faster shifts and supposedly easier on the tranny.

yeah i agree transgo is the better shift kit but a bit more complex to the average person ,and after feeling the good parts from each different kit ive put together my own procedure to avoid buying any kit at all.just combined all the best aspects of the kits ive used (mostly just certain holes to be enlarged) but some require specialty pieces.

Transgo is the way to go.
The first mod on my current Camaro and the best so far.
Improved launches.
Can be shifted manually without destroying it.
Greatly improves the passing power on the highway.
Look around on here some more and you will find lots of info to enable you!

If you're just looking to improve shifts, ever think about having the trany reprogramed? Just my .02..

shift kits go beyond upping the tranny pressures. not saying it is useless but the shift kit was an icrease i felt, just like when i first tuned the car i felt a lot faster shifts. now it is fast and firm instead of just fast.

Yes I know what shift kits do brudda, I just mentioned it since it seems he just wants to "improve" shifting. I'd only buy a kit and tear into my trany if I wanted more than just a little better shift quality. Having my trany reprogrammed was the first mod I did a week after I baught her with 26k-ish on the clock. Now over 80k-ish and still shifts great and if I hold 1st a little longer I can churp going into 2nd sometimes (with my ASR turned off) and I'm only a 6er too..
