Serisouly them hybirds needs to have better performance. If I was forced to drive one, I'd be flooring that shit everywhere like the throttle pedal is a on/off
switch. I bet I'll get the same MPG as my bitchin camaro does if I flog that hybird.
Really they need to look better and not hideous. In maine on vacation visiting my gf's cousin, one of them had a toyota hybird and when they backed up out of the driveway and away slowly, you couldn't hear it at all, only the tires and that's it.
That's one real slow stealth at night.

Commuting in DC, Hybrids are a must have!

Saves me at about 1/2 to 1 hour each way. I had been picking up 'slugs' or people who are willing to ride with you for free into the city, but it is always a pain in the ass, especially in my 99' Z28 Convertible. Getting adults in and out of the back seat of my Z is interesting to say the least.
Plus I'll get 45 mpg on 87 octane (more than double the mileage from the Z) and rack up the miles on the Hybrid. In two years when my daughter is old enough to drive, it will be the perfrect car for a kid to learn on. Slow, Heavy, safe (airbags everywhere). No one would be tempted to race around in a Hybrid - I mean come on - how ridiculas would that look!!

Once the kinks are worked out in about 5-7 years, possibly, but still not likely. They are horribly overpriced and probably will stay that way. For what you pay for, no thanks! To get one right now will mean HAVING to buy a new one again within 5 years. It is bound to break or be too expensive to repair. Others can be the the financial guinea pigs while I burn that hole in the ozone layer.

yea motorcycles is where its at but when you get clipped and fly a hundred feet its not worth it, they are great and i have nothing against them but they are dangerous as hell, not because of the driver, but because of people driving cars and trucks

On month later my parents gets a call from a hostipal to go to, my bro was in a crash.
I was at a party for just 20 mins before my parents called, had to drive back 45 mins for a stupid bro. He was doing excessive speed on a parkway and rearended a white buick with some middle 20's girl driving it.
Now the motorcycle is wrecked and is sitting in the shed, and he's still paying for the motorcycle which isn't paid off yet to this day.
My dad knows someone who buys wrecked motorcycles, fixes them up and sells them. He wanted to have that done but my bro said no, brought parts and wants to fix it up but hasn't done anything yet. I asked him why ride it again after he's been in a crash and got thrown off of it. He said it's fun to drive it in curves...

The Hybrid system gives you 'up to a 10% gain' in fuel economy. Lets see, in a Sierra Pickup that would be what.... 1.5 miles a gallon. No thanks.
They say they will have a Saturn Vue, Chevy Malibu and Yukon/Tahoe coming out for 2007. Toyota and Honda are both on their 2nd generation Hybird systems, and GM is still field testing their first. Ford did the smart thing - they bought the Toyota technology!

When gas hits 4.00 to5.00 dollars a gallon they will pay for themselves, and the way things are going in the middle east it looks like it won't be long.

If gas hits 5 buck a gallon, those shity looking cars are going to look better and better.Shit if it hits 6 bucks , they will look so nice i'd be sorry i did'nt buy one yesterday.A guy in California upgraded his prius battery system and claims to be getting 250 miles per gallon. If so ,that car looks even beautyful. His extra battery pack is a hard wire charge that uses .25 cents of electricty.
