I do like the flat black look though but that one comes off weird to me... Is that a Trans Am front and a Camaro rear?

i think it started out as a camaro, and someone wanted it to be a bird?. I know it looks primered but its a satin..ish. Here's an update:

Friday I go to the shop where the car is. I will take pics. I'm taking two rims and my wings west lip with me. They're gonna exchange with me two of the speedlines, so i can get them powdercoated in satin black. I'm also going to have them put the lip on. I'll ask them to repaint my interior pieces in the satin black as well. I'll also be taking my other tire that I ordered today, so the car will have new tires on the back. Depending on what they say, I may ask them to remove the gold hood decal and pillar decals. Also, I'll have them not put on the new side trans am emblem, and remove the pass side one. Hope all this makes sense lol.

so here's an update: I went down to the shop yesterday. I took two old rims, and the ww lip with me. They're gonna repaint the stuff I painted gold in the interior satin black, and also put on the lip. They said it would be in paint next week, and that it'd be a quick job. That it wasnt as bad as it looked. They had the interior torn apart pretty good, and most of the replacement parts had shown up- parts for the driver's side rear fender, the new rear, door and glass. From what he told me before, plus what i asked him to paint, im supposing im gonna be payin around $250. I'll get the new rim and one of the old ones back when i get the car back, so then I'll take them right over to the powdercoating place then. They said it'd be $125 for all 4. So here are some pics, I saw an awsome lamborghini on the way down. Whats funny is this lil honda hatchback with the god awful exhaust tried showin off in front of me whith my gf in the car. When he saw the lambo he took off after it and did a fly by. The guy just laughed. What a joke. ok anyway here are the pics:

That how you you get used body panels. They might not use that entire donor section. most likely they'll separate out the pieces they need. If you tried to install that donor section as is, the car would fall apart.

in fact you can see it this pic where they started grinding away the body seam sealer and cutting out the spot welds to separate the quarter panel and looks like some of the inner structure

here's an update: I called the shop today.

I should be gettin the car next wed or thursday. They still have to put the lip on, and paint. They havent found a replacement stock speedline yet. :/. I'm gonna ask them to repaint the interior pieces that i painted gold, in black. so once i get the car and rims back ill take the rims to go get powdercoated

will do, i called the shop today to let them know where they can find the new rim. $236 at cleveland pick a part. I'm gonna call them back later to find out if that'll work. Then ask if im still able to pick it up wednesday. That way i can take the rims over and get them powdercoated as well. well at least two of them

well i was supposed to get my car back tomorrow.... I just got a call from the body shop sayin that they have to get it approved for the extra work they did. For the extra supplement- They had to tint one of the windows, repair my center console, the cost of the new rim as opposed to having it fixed, the new tire (which now they have to wait to get). Sooooo now I get to fight with her insurance company because the guy wanted me to return the rental car tomorrow, saying it was due back tomorrow since the car would be ready. I tried calling the rep back in charge of this and naturally got a voice mail. sooo i dont know if im still supposed to take the car back there tomorrow or not. I told the woman at the body shop i hope not cuz i dont have another ride. I'm certainly not gonna drive the vette with the front damage it has. fml. I'll still be able to order my rotors and phb tomorrow. It sucks because I work saturday, and if they dont get it done monday, i have to wait till next friday to get the car cuz of work and stuff. So that means a fight with her ins company....what do i do now

Well...I...GOT HER BACK!!!! ok so to wrap it up here's the lowdown: They put on my front body kit lip, not the greatest job but it'll do. They put my side emblems back on (Trans Am). They painted my a/c rings black , my radio bezel black, and my dome light bezel black. They also painted the speaker covers black too. Looks great. I missed this car dearly and I remember why I love it so much. Here's whats wrong with it... There's a slight ..grinding? feel when I turn to the right. They got me a grey center console cover instead of black, They also got me a grey driver's side door handle plastic area. ( Friday when I take my vette in to get fixed I'll get both of those painted black)- I took them to a local body shop and they wanted $160 for both!!! ffffuuuuuuuu. Ok so also, I have that gap between teh bumper and taillights that i'll have to get fixed at some point. One of the speaker covers doesnt fit right. Now here's the big thing, The rear hatch doesnt close flush. I'm gonna have them look at it friday when I go to pick up my tire there. I have to use a good amount of force to get it to sit relatively flush. Tuesday I'll upload the video I took and you guys can see everything. The engine pic...I went to the body shop where im havin the vette worked on... this motor was sittin in an old 72 cuda (rusted) in the back of the shop. Whats that? is that....? its a twin turbo'd viper motor. I nearly shit myself when I saw it. anyway here are the pics
