2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
RHPS is older than most of you posting in this thread. I saw it for the 1st time in 1978 and it came out ~3 years before that. It launched the careers of several now famous actors (Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick among them).
It was a great flick to watch. Even the 1st time I went to a midnite showing (back in the 80's) it was a cool participation flick (cards, water and rice being mandatory) but nowadays, with folks ad-libbing dialog on top of the original flicks dialog? I dunno. While the originators approve I think it degrades the performance.
You've probably checked this out but if not: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Roc...r_Picture_Show
Brief anecdote: My younger sister took me to see the show the 1st time I saw it (she having thrown the line "Incest is best" at me and me wanting to know what that was about - see the movie and you'll understand). This was at the UA cinema in Westwood, the theater where it opened.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 02-13-2010 at 09:44 PM. Reason: spelling

so i just got back and all i can say was holy shit it was fun. there was like 9 or so cross dressers but other than that it was fun. hot chicks everywhere in fishnets and their asses hanging out their shorts! i wasnt really for the singing and whatnot but the audience participation was awesome. they gave us a roll of toilet paper and at a certain part in the movie everyone started throwng the toilet paper EVERY WHERE! i hate musicals but this was again awesome, people would be like "do you prefer black cock over white?" right before the caracter would say yes it fucking awesome

It's really funny - especially if you can participate - running up to the screen and "spinning" the globe, dialog interact, newspaper, rice, waterguns, toast, etc...
I'm too old to be out at midnight nowadays, though....

I had no interest in it until a group of bible-thumping preachers were calling for it to be banned on the local TV station. That had to be around 1980 ...
So, it became a "must see" after that.
Audience participation was cool the first couple times ... annoying after that.
