LS Specific Tools
So far, I have not had to tear into my engine but I am sure the time will come. What are some of the specialty tools required to work on our engines, ie. pullers, spring compressors, component alignment jigs, etc.? Where do you buy them and are there any substitutes that will work? I would like to have a few in my toolbox for when the time comes, but have no idea what to look for.
One example, that I recently found invaluable, was Curtis' recommendation to use a 1-1/2" extension for removing spark plugs. I never had one this short in my toolbox until he posted this. It worked like a charm and I am glad I went to Sears and bought one.
