(don't tell anyone, but canada's dollar is worth more than ours now)

it got as high as 10% higher, but it's been trading in the 95 cent range for a while now. so as it stands the american dollar is worth about 5% more than ours. i wish our dollar was worth 70 cents. it's better for our economy.

The Good .. Engine very strong .. very good stopping power in brakes
The Bad , now this is not just my car but any GTO. There is a sensor in the column for the PASS key if it goes out replace whole column...If CD player goes bad , which they are known to do , head unit is $1500 .. I have also had the attenuator in power windows go bad and had a tiny crack in my main hose that couldnt be found till I took it into the Dealership..
The ugly .. The back seats headrest and and top of back seat can burst apart at the seams , this is also a common problem, also one day the back of the driver seat .. fell off ... also trunk motors have been known to just go out ...

Yikes!!! I hope this won't happen to mine. Previous owner tinted the rear windows and I think he did the dremel mod to the ignition cylinder. The back of the seats are still there. FK IT. I got eBay.

Not saying all GTOs are bad , but am ready to get rid of this one .. And tint wont help on the cracking .. buddy of mine had dark tint and his seats already busted twice ... That 5.0 sounding pretty good ...

I have heard that leather conditioner prevents cracking. True or false? I ask since I use Meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner for my interior.

Are the rear seats just upholstered too tightly? I like cloth..

I heard it because 2 different types of leather or whatever ... aka one shrinking faster than other ...
