Probably not. I am not familiar with max energy but am familiar with Hypertech and it was the single biggest waste of money I have ever blown on a car mod. You are better off having a tuner do a tune for you, than any handheld programmer.

+2. I have a Hypertech that came with our car that I primarily use as a monitoring tool. You will receive better results with a dyno or mail order tune, especially if you have any mods. Probably better to spend your money elsewhere.

The Hypertech unit will allow you to adjust for the new tire diameter and gears, it will allow you to change shift points and shift firmness, and it has a canned "performance tune" that probably does not do a whole lot. From what you stated, HP Tuners is probably be overkill. However, a mail order tune through Frost (site sponsor) would accomplish everything you want to do, plus provide you with the best performance deal for your dollar.

i have a Hypertech 32002 too,
You can correct your tirediameter, remove the speed limiter, change firmness in shifting with an automatic, read diagnostics, change rev-limiter.

agreed.
Get it tuned and if you're dead set on buying your own, get HP Tuner and install it to your laptop. I'm pretty familiar with the program and it's relatively user friendly and a great tool to have

Frost did my computer tuning and without his tune i would have not gotten RWHP numbers i got. He is very helpfull and goes out of his way to make sure you happy with the tune. I would definitly use him and save yourself money and time.
