HOA nazi bullshit

I let mine idle for 5 mins max. And thats when its 40 or below. In the summer I hop in and go. I dont want to risk dmage to my engine by not letting it warm up for a few mins

I warm my car up in the winter as well. When I lived in Midland Park, our downstairs neighbors constantly complained about my first car which had no more than a DynoMax Super Turbo muffler and the car wasn't loud at all. I came home one night after an Explorers meeting and a Midland Park cop pulled into my driveway after me and saw me in my uniform and looked at the car and told me there was nothing wrong. He then went to my neighbors and saw the evil stare I was giving them and the wife got loud with me in front of the cop which resulted in the cop telling the wife "SHUT UP". He then informed the neighbors that they were at risk of having harassment charges slapped on them and a possible lawsuit. They then proceeded to harass my friends which resulted in the town fining them(downstairs neighbors). Neighbors complained to our then landlord resulting in our eviction. My parents sued and won. Fast forward to 2001 when we moved into our house and the neighbors let their kids play in our driveway. Not cool. Teenagers who know right from wrong getting nasty because they wanted to have access to our driveway. My parents told their parents to cool it and they got nasty with my folks and made accusations about me playing on their property(coming from a community where tresspassing meant court) and I went off on them. One mother came up to my door making accusations and I slammed the door on them. Now, when my friends come over, I see the neighbors staring. They would approach my folks asking why all my friends were white and my folks told them it wasn't any of their business. Now, during the summer, whenever I cut the grass, I make it a point that I am waiting for someone to complain about the GTO so I can blow their case outta the water. I would hear doors slam and say "AWWW...DID I SPOIL SOMEONE'S FUN?" out loud.

i am soon. Im also 25. I'm saving up to move, or maybe move my girlfriend here in a month, then 3 months from now get my own place. And the corvette is off the active duty list. and comes out to play once a month

What I would do, get a copy of the HOA Rules and Regs. Read it cover to cover. Go around neighborhood and write down and take pictures of everything in violation there of. Attend the next meeting, and show all of them. Then say, but I am willing to let it slide if you stop bitching about my car!

I work for a HoA and unless they have something specifically stated in the by-laws about how loud a car can be there is not really shit they can do. Even when they have something stated its still hard to get anything done about it.

This also works very well most people are willing to bitch and gripe about others but you tell them they have to shut up or fix there violations then 99% of the time they miraculously shut up and you never hear about it again.

I've thought about that. The people acccross from us have two people living there illegally, with one car ALWAYS parked on the road. The people next to them rent illegally too. People 2 streets over always have their winnebego on the street. I almost think this is a form of discrimination because of my age as well. People dont like me there because im 25. I've gotten plenty of people ask me what I was doing there when i went up to the mail room. I used to be nice about it, now im just a smartass to them. "You dont look 45" I say back, I dont do I

Gotta love the HOA's.....that's the only thing keeping me from buying a condo or a little town house. And they aren't cheap here in Burbank, either.

67camaro- yes im over in peoria. Right where they're doing all that stupid 303 construction..uhg. and to ray- yes it is an "active adult" community, and you're very right. They have nothin better to do than bitch and moan. My mom's askin me not to go tomorrow but im still going to, at least if anything they'll know my side to it.

lmao that's great. That's pretty much what it is.The guy im supposed to talk to is a deutsche. I was up at the main building once doing something for my mom, and they wouldnt give me a new card or something because my mom wasnt there. She was at home. So I told the guy at the front desk "Well that's bullshit", and I left. Well, I got in trouble for it- they called or somethin i forget what, but I had to go up and apologize to the kid, and then go to this guy to talk to him. In the course of it, i had said that I worry about what if something happend to my mom, heaven forbid, and I was left here with the house, that I wouldnt be immediately kicked out. The guy goes, well we (the hoa) would have a meeting about that, and I know what I would say..... What a fking dooch
