2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Before I bought a 96 Z28 vert I never had a car newer than a 72 Chevelle Malibu I owned back in the late 80's, early 90's.
3 of the 50+ cars I've owned were legit muscle cars: 69 SS 396 Camaro (396/TH400), 69 SS 396 Chevelle (396/TH400) and a 68 Ford Mustang GT (390/Top loader 4-speed).
And I don't know if this one would be considered a muscle car: 68 Pontiac Bonnieville - 400/TH400.
All the rest were small block cars (except the 2 Cadilliac's which had 429 cid engines).
Are Mopar cars with 383 engines muscle cars? I've had 3 (all with 727 tranny's): 66 and 69 Chargers and a 67 Cuda...Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 12-03-2009 at 09:25 AM.

Me too. Up until 92 when I bought my 88 Alfa, I had only owned 71 and under. My Alfa was the newest car I had ever owned. I haven't had that many cars because I drove and loved my Chevelle for most of my driving years. I only bought the 95 Probe after the Chevelle was stolen and wreaked. And, I bought it off a Chevy lot. Pic-kens and money were slim at the time

My preference is still 72 and older

I understand the engines and emissions equipment, but why did Detroit have to kill most cars' looks in the dark years (73-80's). They made safety bumpers look alright on 78-81 camaros and the plastic c3 vettes, so that's not an excuse. I am getting into some of these cars though, like a '73 442, the interior is nice and they look alright. Plus a 455... I never used to like '74-'81 Camaros but do now.

I sold it.
About 5 years ago my wife asked me if I wanted a shirt or hat with a 63 ford falcon or a 49 ford truck on it. I said hell no, I aint wearing no ford shirts or hats. She said why do you own the vehicles then? I said you are right, sold them and bought my 2000 Camaro SS..
