Red, Purple, Aqua- 88 GTA 93 Vette 94 Formy
newbie needs help...
Hey guys n gals,
My name is Dave and I hang around the Thirdgen boards and the Corvette Forum. My girlfriend picked up a 99 TA today with a hacked up aftermarket system in it. I have been searching on here but have not been able to find a crash course on 4thgen audio. This car has speakers in the door, sail panels, and on the back panel. From what I gather it seems it may have been equipped with the Monsoon package (no real idea on how this affects wiring).
I want to install a new set of components in the doors as well as a set of speakers in the sail panels. It will eventually get a stealth box from subthump. From what I have read it seems there are amps in the car and there are tricks to wiring the new speakers in.
My question is, will I have to rewire the whole car like I did with my factory equiped Bose in the Corvette? Any tips, ideas and comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

I always run all new wiring for my installs. I don't believe in doing it any other way. I don't use any of the factory wiring except for the power wires going to the HU. My car is also a '99. Click on my sig to see my audio setup.
