These should be the harmless ones that just suck a little blood. I can't remember off the top of my head without doin' a google search but I'm pretty sure the large brown deer ticks are the relatively harmless kind (no lyme disease).

Just kidding. Looks like a nice buck -- anyone else in your group get one? Where did you hunt at? The tick thing freaked me out this year -- we just started our cat on the monthly treatment and 3 days later she comes in with a tick on her back. First time in my life I had to dig a tick off a cat.
