OT Help: Spray paint
I'm spray painting a laptop case to make it nice for a friend. I'm painting in the garage and it's getting hair and all that stuff as it dries. Anyone know the best way around that?
Is there a wet sand grit that will leave spray paint glossy? Will a buffing wheel do it?
Thanks.
InB4: that's ghey, stupid, why?, stickers, paint don't make it faster, etc.
I bought the laptop as a gift for a friend and there were some scuffs on it, so I thought I'd customize it a bit to make it hers. One of her friends agreed to airbrush something cool on it as well.

It's the garage, I'm kinda thinking I'll probably stir up more and make it worse. I've got an autopainter friend I'm gonna try to get ahold of to finish it.

What type of paint are you using? Is it a metal or plastic case? Another trick is to wet the floor of the garage right before you starts. That will help keep the dust down.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
spray it inside of a big cardboard box. But yes, if you sand out the little junk that falls into the paint, it'll become smooth. When you put your clear coat on (assuming you will be?) Then you can wetsand and polish it for a final finish to remove the junk

ground it by sitting it on a piece of metal and sticking a wire into the GROUND hole in a wall receptical.
the static charge of the plastic case will attract everything if not grounded
