I used to be all anti-drinking in high school, never seeing the need to get trashed. but last night i was with a group of good friends and they had been trying to get me smashed forever....so i said fuck it and started pounding shots (hate the taste of beer). gave the keys to my friend's mom and spent the night there lol.

You did the smart thing -- gave your keys to a responsible person and stayed put. How people do it every weekend? I have no idea, but I do thank them for the business.

yea there was no way i was going to even touch my car, but yea for good measure i thought it was best to just pass the keys to someone anyway.

Every weekend? More like, on average, once every three days I would say.

I don't know how bartenders do it every weekend. One bar I go to has four bartenders downstairs and three upstairs. A line non-stop at all seven of them. Running around making drinks like crazy ALL night long. I do factory work and I don't work as hard as they do.

but instead of "pounding shots" try a good mixed drink and drink at a pace that keeps you buzzed instead of the blackout stage and you should feel ok the next morning. Try downing a gatorade before going to sleep also.

I usually go with Makers and Coke; 6 or 7 of those and I am feeling good and can get out of bed the next morning without a headache

I'll be drinking beer (well ale really: 6.6% New Belgium 2* below) after I finish off the Bailey's Irish Cream that is residing in my 2nd cup of coffee (50/50 mix).
