POS should get the death penalty.. I see dumb ass cops run lights all the time just because they don't want to wait for the light. Soon as they get through the intersection they shut off their lights.. It's illegal and should be treated as such period.. Our own govenor has been caught twice with speeds in excess of 100mph! State police driving his car. Not a fucking thing happened over it. But let that be you or I.... FELONY

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
The officers were returning from a mutual aid call at the Utopia Café in West Haven and Wynne said the accident was completely avoidable.
all car accidents are completely avoidable no excuses..... hence why car accidents should be called car crashes. No-body accidently hits another car.
there are only two times when a car crash should be considered and accident and have an excuse:
-instant health failure by the operator
-instant mechanical failure of the car.
its just like, if you reach over to place a glass of water on the table and miss. The glass and water spill all over the floor, yeah you did not do it on purpose but also it was not an accident, it happend cause you where not paying attention, distracted, careless or a complete idiot.
car crashes/accidents piss me off. you could ruin a nice car and worse, ruin a person or kill them... complete BS. anyone that causes an accident should have their next vehicles airbags removed and replaced with sharp point stakes...Last edited by ibanez7; 11-18-2009 at 01:53 PM.

in regards to officers running lights, without their lights/siren on, is because they are on the way to a robbery or domestic and want to sneak up on the situation..
then turn your damn lights off when you get close to the scene, not when speeding through town.
both of the officers in this situation should be hung, its obvious they where screwing around with their patrol cars.

thats what I was talking about too... I have asked officers about that, again they claim they are on their way to a scene. and if you see them stop at the next light, they state "dispatch said i was not needed"
its all BS....
many cops think they are above people, and the law. They are no different then people who are not cops. Only difference is, a cop can carry a gun and reports to a sheriffs/judge for work. Other than that they have no extra rights, yet many think they do.

My neighbor is a cop and he told me they will turn there lights off after an intersection because having the lights and sirens on will cause more trouble by scaring or panicing other drivers on the road. Now most don't like to wait in traffic and do this shit anyway but not all the time.

its just sad and non excusable.. they can try to justify it all they want and blame whatever/whoever they want.... its effed up.. so sad those teens had to suffer for the cops recklessness.
