Atleast six nitro r/c engines
I'm looking to eventually get a spare block and build it up or a cheap crate to throw in and build my current motor up. Either way so I don't have any down time, or be stuck if I screw up the rebuild. A small block's one of the easiest ways to start right?
I also have to rebuild my '05 CRF-250r for the first time soon. It's puffing smoke when cold now. Going from the 12.9:1 stocker to a JE 14.5:1

All by myself -- an '81 Chrysler 2.2 was my first foray into engine building. Everything else has been done with assistance from friends: 2 - 350 SBCs, and a '66 Buick 340 completed so far. I have a '70 Olds 350 W-31 in pieces that will be heading to BTR's in Rochester sometime soon for machining.

I like all the measuring... checking for out of round, taper and all that stuff.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Pssshhh! I only do that when I blue print an engine.
Otherwise it's drop the crank in and spin. If it turns then on to the the pistons/rods.
BTW, this applies only to freshly machined parts. If I'm doing a re-ring and/or re-bearing (no machining) then, ya, you gotta measure to insure it's ok to use.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 11-17-2009 at 05:36 PM.
