    I read that yesterday, my heart broke

    My condolences to the family. I hope little Noah enjoys his Christmas this weekend as well as his family with him. And he will be the little angel in the story. It's so amazing to me how even the youngest children like that have such a grip on understanding what is happening to him and what kin of a better place he will be in where he won't hurt anymore.

    I dont think anybody could read that and not feel any kind of sadness, it is very horrible to think that kids like this are fighting for the right to live day by day and wont make it, but their is so many other people out their that does not deserve to breathe the air around us. My regards go out to that family dont have any kids yet but I know I would be devestated by it if it happend to one of my kids.

    A Psalm of David.

    23:1

    The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures.
    He leads me beside still waters.
    He restores my soul.
    He leads me in paths of righteousness
    for his name's sake.
    Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
    You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
    you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
    Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    all the days of my life,
    and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever

    Amen.......

    That is very sad. While all our hearts go out to this little guy and his family, sending warm wishes and prayers for the rest of his days being happy days... We also need to take a look at how lucky the rest of us are even with the misfortunes we encounter.

    Being stricken with a terminal illness is really sad. Espescially if it is a child.

    that is extremely sad... thankfully the child does not fully understand death like an adult does.

    what makes this even more sad, is news coverage;

    strangers and family pulling together to make sure this child has a great xmas before he passes, is a true heartfelt positive feeling in a sad situation yet it receives less media coverage and air time, where as obama buying a family dog is blasted everywhere, yet its pointless....

    Terminal/major illness in children is a difficult subject for me at times.

    That sucks!

    My wife read a story a few days ago about a very young girl that had some sort of cancer and knew she was dying so she wrote sticky notes in hidden spots all over the house so her parents could find them after she died. And they are still finding them to this day. Notes like "don't worry I'm in heaven looking down on you. and i love you and such. The parents ended up turning the notes into a book of some sort.

    It's amazing the capacity for understanding and acceptance kids have.

    I would break down and cry EVERY time I found a note. How incredibly awesome of that little girl.

    I hear you on the understanding of children. Sara spent a decent amount of time at Denver's Childrens Hospital, so I have seen a lot of children with very severe issues. Amazing....they are BY FAR the happiest kids on the planet. They realize they need to live it up and enjoy the little things while they are here.

    It is totally fine Carpy.
    I know that I am not the only one dealing with a sick child in some way. Always good to read positive stories.

    I will get to it a bit later tonight or maybe tomorrow.
