School me on my ls1
I just bought a 98 z28 6 speed, the only mods i know of are a lid, and exhaust (looks to be cat back, y after cats one side open)
Where should I start notice a noticable difference in power

Is Modesto in Cali? For power I'd do a lid and long tubes. (may be a problem in Cali tho) Also a catback or cutout in the Y pipe.

Welcome from up north.
A lid and catback are always a great start. If you are willing to swap out headers every 2 years they make a nice gain. Lower control arm relocation brackets will help you get out of the hole faster.

If you want the most power gains you need to move out of Cali....everything that makes you go fast or perform better gets cancelled out by Cali emmission laws....

Man: The Mods you are fighting,
they are the biggest Men I have ever seen. I
wouldn't want to fight them!
Me: That is why no one will remember your name!

You could also do a LS6 camshaft with LS6 heads Ported and Polished with a little milling. Thats about all your going to get away with in Cali. When you do mod, make sure it says its legal in Cali and you should be set.
