Bad fuel pump (Walbro)
Hey guys. Any one have any problems with the Walbro pumps? It's only been in for 2-3 months and it went out already. I thought these were supposed to be pretty good pumps. I never let the tank get below 1/4 before filling it up either. What is the Racetronics set up every one is talking about?

Something is wrong......most Walbro pumps last quite a long time (years)....what voltage are you getting to the pump?

I'm not sure the voltage yet. I had it towed to my shop last night and have not looked at it yet. With the car running I can hear the pump whine when I start it and then you can hear the pitch of the whine get higher and higher until it goes away and then the car will stall. I let it sit for 30 sec. and then start it and it will do it again.
I just found the Racetronix pump on there website. I wish I would have seen that before hacking my factory sending unit all to hell.

fuel pump issues
I'm on my 3rd fuel pump . The first 2 were Walbro.
Is Racetronix the pump everyone is recommending?
I'm looking to find an external pump?
I also heard that Walbro pumps have issues. I guess this proves it true.

I ave the Racetronix pump with the hot wire kit and I have 30K miles on it with no issues. The Racetronix kit includes a Walbro pump. Get the hot wire kit so you stop burning up the pump.

Racetronix fuel pump is part of a kit and comes with all the wiring built just for it. Here's a link to their site but you may want to contact them to make sure you're getting the right part.
