Been testing Oil

Don't have an LS1 but thought you might be interested.
I posted this up on the Jeep forum I visit and several guys are trying it out in various vehicles, including myself.
One guys said even his lawn mower gets better mileage using the same mix ratio.
I myself am testing it in a '79 CJ5 with a 258 I-6.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Ive been putting it in my mower as well. Seems like I am getting more yard done per tank, but I KNOW the mower is running a lot smoother.

I have been putting it in my "89 GMC pickup. Havn't noticed a difference yet. But I'm just on my 3rd tank. Will post more later on.

We found the Altered (7sec) dragster fuel components were pristine and not dried out after sitting all of this winter past. My GTO (which only gets a couple thousand miles a year) starts up quicker after a long spell of sitting in the shop for sure.....So I have concluded the very very light film of oil on all components and the cleaning effect is only good for storage. Now I do not profess the TCW3 alters the chemical makeup of the gasoline itself. I would still use a additive for storage for long periods of storage like StaBil....

And the brand doesnt make a difference as long as it TC W3?

1oz per 5 Gallons?

Do I added it everytime i put gas in?

Does it have to be Marine TC W3? or any kind of TC W3?

Does the fact that my car doesnt have a fuel filter make a difference?

It will not matter whether high or even low compression motor...

Brand, Marine or not, and fuel filter, all will not matter.....

Yes, for every 5 gallons you put in at the pump, add another oz of oil.... so if ya fill up and say put in 14 gallons, I'd round a lil and put in 3oz's of oil....

Compression ratio has no bearing on the results at all. TCW3 is what your after.1oz oil to 5 gallons of fuel.I always add it when I get home. TCW3.

Has anyone other than me heard of putting tranny fluid in the tank to clean fuel system. It works not sure what the long term effects are, and never tried it in a car with cat's. Car will smoke like a diesel on a cold morning, but it cleans everything.

My X had an 84 shitvet with a bad mod valve in the trany. The ATF would suck in to the cylinders. She was adding a quart at a time; the car would smoke a lot of white smoke. I replaced the mod valve that fixed the problem. Next inspection it passed with on problems. We have had to have all gasoline cars 75 and later pass emissions test for years. In the Charlotte area of North Carolina.

OK guys here it goes these are as real world as you can get with results. I drive the same route to work in my '06 Mountianeer everyday, 44 miles. In the morning it is 16 miles of complete 5 MPH stop and go, it's ridiculus. On the way home it is wide open 70 MPH cruising. Nothing ever changes. So last week I drove in and my computer showed a MPG of 16.3, that's 5 days of 44 miles a day same traffic pattern. Monday morning I filled up 20 gallons and added 4 oz of the Pennzoil oil that Sarge recommended. So far as of tonight for this week I am avg 17.4 MPG, same driving habits same conditions. I will report the final # for the week tom night but I don't see it really changing much. I will again do the same thing next week to see if it improves after another tank full!

Well in a '79 Jeep CJ-5 with a 4.2L I-6, first tank I picked up .6 mpg.
When I first started running it I could smell the exhaust by the time the first tank was out the exhaust was alot less smelly, I guess this was due to the cleaning factor.
Picking up .6 mpg on the first tank, smoother idle, and cleaner smelling exhaust, on an original 30yr old engine with a carb. I'm impressed.

Other reports from friends include more mpg on a lawn mower, up 1.3mpg in a mountaineer, and in a lincoln 17.1 to 18.8.

OK 2nd treatment, drove 200 miles + from Philly to AC, then to Wildwood, then back to Philly over 2 days. Now this is in a V8 Mountianeer with 6 adults + luggage. Highway for 75% but also stop and go and some city driving getting to and from highways. I ended up at 19.5 MPG for the trip. I'm happy with the results considering all of the variable especially carrying 6 adults.

ok sarge, got a good one for you, i have done some reading here, but not alot. there is a debate over on ls1tech right now. it has to do with using methanol for fuel in a stand alone nitrous kit. and they are talking about how meth has no lubricating properties. now, im also interested in the answer to this problem as well. give her a read and let me know what you think. thanks man. really seems like and easy solution. but some disagree with using an additive. i figured since you do this shit, you might have a good answer.

I didnt read it but off the top of my head this has been discussed many times at the track...in the shop...and of course here on the interweb...my feeling on the subject of meth and giggle juice is all about gravity...gravity of the fuel...meth is heavier than gasoline...so you would get into re-jetting the entire setup to achieve the proper air/fuel....I just fail to see that much benefit versus all the PITA you would have to go through and not to mention the kaboom ratio would go up.
We run meth in the altered Ford and it will wash the cylinders.....we change ring packs constantly......
with all that said...yes...some use Marvel Mystery Oil in their meth at the track....so TCW3 would be a viable option for sure....but man that would be some heavy fuel.....tune would be critical and reading plugs on alcohol is a bitch cuz it cleans the plugs spotless (the meth).....there are gains to be had though.....

Hi all, I am new from China, pure Chinese, and nice to find here, I would share my 2T using experience and confusions with all of you.

I do this for my two cars a year ago, I feel it works well, it can make engine running more smoothly, quietly. One of advanced things is adding 2T can reduce one of my turbocharger engine oil burning. Till to now, nothing negative to my cars, but, I still had confusions to these clean, anti wear functions and that much level adding (1oz to 5 gallon).

1, We all know 2T oil is 1:50 adding can provide it clean and anti wear function for 2 cycles engine, here we just adding 1:500, even 1:1000, that’s ten times less than normal level, so how it can be clean and anti wear to 4T engine.

2, 2T oil also had special additive to provide more wear to 2 cycle’s clutch, how this incompatible with anti wear function.

3, although it can be (designed) burn 100% with gasoline, these additives inside of 2T oil still can remain as ash in ring, cylinder and even catalytic converters after base oil has burn with gasoline.

4, I tired many times to adding 1:500 2T in very beginning, but I feel not well, it impact my car acceleration, not power loss, it just slow engine raise up RPM. It looks like slow down gasoline burning speed, when I change to 1:1000, much better. Anyone has same feels here?

I appreciated Sarge or some one can clean my confusions.

Right now, I do adding one OZ 2T into 55L tank, which is about almost 0.6:1000, the type of 2T I used is for watercraft, because watercraft 2T has special additive to higher temperature of exhaust emissions for less environmental impact, higher exhaust emissions temperature can help catalytic converter self clean up. Also I do mix other liquid like Redline S1-1 with 2T together to provide more clean function. 2t now is more like booster for clean, anyone here did same thing like me and how it feels?
