I don't think there is a single GTO in our area -- the one guy I met on this site from our area that has one went and traded it this weekend on a Vette. This is before I even had a chance to check it out. One of these days I need to go for a spin in one.
LSCyaL8r and 02Sweet went for a ride in mine and they love it. But I think I am the only one who dailies mine. Most of the folks I know put theirs away for the winter months.

How in the heck are you able to drive that on a snow covered road? That has to be interesting.

I leave the TCS on and I feather the gas to get the car going. Car goes in a straight line and all is good. Plus with the factory 17s on and GoodYear Eagle F1 All-Seasons on, the car digs in the snow.

Just seems like the wide ass tires we have on our cars would act more like skis than tires when it gets slippery. I assume you do not have hills to contend with and that has to make it a little bit easier in the winter. Anywhere I go from my house is downhill -- so when the snow flies its 4x4 time for me.

Oh I have a few hills. Not very steep, but I feather the gas and let the clutch act as the brake going down. Going up really isn't bad either. I just take my time. A lil time and patience go a long way with these cars.

Hmm, I never knew there was anyone else from our area on here

One guy. He looked me up due to my location only. Turns out a guy down the road (friend) was his cousin. I met him a year or two ago at the show at Wings of Eagles (good show btw). He's got an 01 T/A in bright red. Very clean car. He's a real nice older guy. Here's a link to his member profile on here. LINK

I mentioned LS1.com to a couple of people I have seen with F-bodies at car shows just in case -- haven't found another member as of yet. Looks like 3 of us in our county, and none that I know of in the surrounding area, unless you count Nhra Firebird when he is at his camp in Potter Co.

In case you missed it, I posted some pics of the Nelson show a page or so back for you.

Any further attempts on your car lately? We had the Vette out twice this weekend - didn't want to idle on Friday. Tonight it ran fine. Gremlins!

No, I hate to even look at the damned thing. It still looks so good even though the paint is shot, still shiny too . I haven't the money to work on it right now, dumped all that money into the opti/waterpump and such to only get a bunch of new parts and no progress on the skip. If its truly only something as simple as a broken/chaffed/corroded wire on that temp sensor, i'm gonna be upppset.

Heck, with everything replaced you'll be all set for our road trip next year to Spazapalooza!

I still wonder about the rear though. Again, if I had the money, I'd have someone look at it for me.

Eh? Skip as in misfire? Have you checked the fuel system?

I call it a skip. It idles fast on startup (cold engine) and starts to develop a skip (too much fuel) once it gets any kind of heat built up in the engine. New fuel filter and pump is good (41psi off 38 running). Injectors all ohm out around 12 to 12.5 ohms.

OK. Check the temp sensor as you posted before. Hopefully you won't need to do any more troubleshooting/work afterward. Have you checked any other sensors under the hood?

Tested the ICM, changed the IAT sensor, cleaned the EGR, cleaned the IAC Valve, cleaned the MAF. Cleaned the MAP sensor. TPS Sensor reads 0.0% at idle, responds accordingly to throttle input.
