Seriously doubt it. Man up and spend the $20 bucks for a belt.

yeah, I just spent $1500 on my car getting a/c compressor replaced, water pump replaced, and power steering pump replaced and new serp and a/c belts as power steering fluid soaked my 3 month old gatorback serp belt. Things could be worse for ya. At least YOUR compressor didn't lock up
or did it?
also have to install a new alternator tomorrow because all the power steering fluid leaked on it before getting that fixed and it finally died. another $150 or so for a refurb...Last edited by enkryptik; 09-18-2009 at 03:31 PM.

spending 20 bucks as opposed to putting on a belt from a motor that Chevrolet hasn't made in 29 years (assuming its a 400 sbc)? what do you think the possibilities might be if that belt went south and wiped out the front of your motor , or at least your radiator? just a thought. A/C is a luxury

Probably not. Especially if the 400 had v-belts.
