Agreed in part. When my kids get out of control (ie from game to computer to tv) I do whats called as one day on, one day off (electronics) batteries included. Its not easy, but parenting isn't a popularity contest (and I realize your not a parent). IKN, but is he doing for attention from the rents? One thing for sure, doctors and the like want to lable something as aad, etc. I have an autistic child (pretty highly functioning), but there are differences to the normal child. My .02.

They kind of agree. They don't see the PS3 as a big of a problem as i do. It promotes him to sit around more which equals more weight gain. But they do kind of stop him from playing sometimes but it doesn't seem to work because he starts having a hissyfit and eventually ends up sneaking it in.

Again being consistant, and being hard (some times it's needed). Rents need to be together (fortified) . kids are smart, and will take advantage of the rents not being on the same dime.

Psycho Therapist- I take "the" out of
If your parents are that concerned, then take away the PS3 and computer for a while. Its a hard thing. I don't live with my parents, but my sister at home is getting bigger everytime I see her. My parents wont take away the sweets or the technology that keeps her fat. So in the end she is going to be miserable.....or she will find your brother and they could live happily ever after zoned out in front of a T.V with twinkies hanging from their mouth.
P.s.Sorry not much help....you could always grab the controller from his hand and take of running....he might chase. do this everytime you see him, and he might lose weight that way.

A while back I heard about a guy that was worried his kids were gaining too much weight. He hooked their tv up to batteries that were charged by riding an excersice bike. His kids used to stay up most of fri night to charge the batts. to watch sat morn cartoons.

You know, you said that he is a happy guy. But, sometimes over eating is an emotional issue that has nothing to do with over all happiness. It may be something else.
It's obviously keeping him from a normal desire to go out and about and do things with friends etc...
Trying to find out what triggers his over eating may not be an easy task. And the PS3 is probably more of an enabler than a cause IMO.
Either way, if you are really worried about his overall health, then possibly getting him someone to talk to may be an option.
There is always a reason.

Fat people are the funny comedic relief in every day situations. Every group has a fat guy. Nitro Circus has Streetbike Tommy for what? FUN!!!
