Radiator Fan Motor(s)
The passenger's side radiator fan motor has started gettin alill noiser. Like the bearings maybe going South on it. Does anyone know where can I get more info on the motor(s) operations and/or a good replacement???
I first started noticin it the other day. While the A/C was running and I was pullin in for a fill up @ the gas station. The motor next to the battery has just started gettin noisy or louder than normal, it seems. No fuses(or relays) have blown @ this point.
Any suggestions are apprecicated!
Thanks in advance,
Don :burn:

You can get replacements fairly cheap from rock auto.

Just on the off chance I checked Summit Racing.com yesterday. My first search say the replacement was like $49. bucks. Then I pouched in the more specific info on the 02 LS1 and it came back w/ $231. bucks for my 02 Z28.
But, like I said, it's just startin to make alill more noise than I'm use to when it kicks on hi(I think). So, for the time being I'm just goin to watch it and start gettin set up for the repl. til it starts showin signs it time to repl. it.
I'll have to check out Rock Auto.
Btw, one key thing I fail to mention is the fact that I'm running the 178* t-stat in the Z28 w/ the tuning. That has the fans re-adj. to turn on earlier.
Thanks,
Don

After takin a look @ the Rock Auto parts web site http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,2164. I see they are considerably lower.
So, is the ACDelco pt# 15-8404{#22104439} the correct pt# for the repl. fan on the 02 Camaro Z28, left or right side fan motor???Last edited by Don B 02 Z28; 08-23-2009 at 02:10 PM. Reason: link
