    Black C6 Convertible Corvette

This car took me two days to complete. I usually can do one in about 8hrs tops, but this one had some random isolated deep swirls
The car came out real good...
The car is for sale. $34,000
    It's a 2005 6-speed Z51 with NAV, 14031 miles...

    Process:

    Blue Magic Claybar
    Menzerna, M105, DeWalt849 Buffer, Flex
BF Enhancing polish Flex White pad
BF Wet Diamond PC Black pad
    Meguiars Leather Cleaner/Conditioner
    DG265 on trim
DG101 on Wheel and exhaust tips
Dynamic Detailing Concours Tire Gel on tires

    Only two before pics...

    Final pics...

    Thank you!
the red vette has an LS6 motor with electronic throttle (not wire)

I will be doing a blck and white 56 vette. That one not only has an LS6 motor in it, but some upgraded suspension...
    Very pretty cars.
    That's why I detail!

    Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah, there will be a few more cars I'll be detailing for this guy. He's got some quality cars for sure!
I'll post pics of the red vette hopefully by Tuesday.
The owner is a cool guy, so I will be taking my time to ensure his cars come out looking great.
After the black C6 was done, he gave me his vote of confidence to do the rest of his cars

Wow! You never disappoint. Looks better than new. I love checking out the pics of all the unique cars you detail. Keep em coming!

I had plans to get going on my Z/28 today but it started raining -of course-so I couldn't wash it. Maybe sometime this week I hope.

Ok. I just needed to finish the C6
I looked at the engine bay Friday, and I couldn't let that one go. I had to do something about!

Your work is excellent. I may have to ship my car out there for a detail. Or better yet take a drive....I've never seen black paint come out as good as on that vett you just did. Any tips to share? If I remember did you post a sticky somewhere about doing a full detail like this? Or am I wrong. At a minimum what can you share about getting the paint to really give that 'wet' look?
    thanks!

You need the right tools. You can't achieve good results if you don't use a buffer. Then you need products that work

I do all my details consistently the same way everytime, and the results are always good, sometimes ones come out better than others, but that's just on the effort or the demands by the customer, but in general, all my details are almost spot on in the majority of the cases...

That said, you need a buffer, like a PC7424XP or the new one Griots just came out with. They're user friendly, and have more cutting power than their predecesors...
You need at a minimum, orange pads, white pads, and black pads
Orange pads for paint correction, whire pads for polishing with a milder polish or glaze, and blac pad to apply sealant. The black pad is optional, you can do sealants or waxes by hand, I just prefer by machine...

    Products:
    Claybar
Menzerna Super Intensive Polish is my goto product for paint correction
Menzerna Nano Polish is a great finish polish to follow after SIP
Prima Amigo or Blackfire Enhancing Polish is my new favorite
Blackfire Wet Diamond as my sealant of choice, or Rejex

You have to do those in order

    1-Wash
    2-Claybar
    3-Menzerna SIP (orange pad)
    4-Menzerna Nano Polish (white pad)
5-Prima Amigo (black pad) or BFEP (white pad)
6-Sealant or wax of your choice

He isn't mistaken, and if you need to discuss this with Sarge any further, take it to PMs instead of ruining the integrity of this thread. If you post any further about the matter in this thread, expect an infraction.

Thanks for the above. I'm going to look into the Menzerna products. Are those available 'on the street' in CO or are they only available by ordering online? One other question is: How often is claybar really necessary? My car is always garaged and has never seen rain.
    Thanks
    Erik
