My bout of Ulcerative Colitis (bright blood in the motion) has been put under control by an initial treatment regime of Predsol Retention Enema as a self administered solution before bed at night and then on-going maintenance of Salazopyrin Tablets (2 x 2 times/day).
The area at risk was about 75mm in length.
Currently, all under control

I Take a suppository called Canasa and an oral medication called Lialda. I have been on the Canasa for about 4 weeks and the Lialda for 1. Neither have been working and the bloody bowel movements have been just as bad as when they 1st started. Pain in my colon and stomach areas has also increased. Im hoping my Dr can give me something else to figure this out.

1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
Didn't go. Went swimming with friends and grilled some steaks. The problem went away for a couple of weeks for the first time I can remember. Tonight I grilled a 1.25lb ribeye and drank a ton of red wine. That always seems to kick things up a notch for some reason. I'm gonna make another appt. on Monday.

A lot of these people have given you very good reasons to go get it checked out.
I have a buddy who had the same problem and thought it was just Hemroids. He was only about 40 at the time. By the time he had it checked out it was really bad Colon Cancer. He said he had blood in his stools for many years.
After a few surgeries and lots of treatments, he is still with us and doing good.
This is not something to play around with, for your piece of mind I highly recommend you don't miss your next doctor appointment. I had a colonoscopy this year, it is not something you love to do, they put you out around here, but I am glad I had it done..
Good Luck and I hope it is only hemroids for you...
