Wow that thing is badass man yours definently seems like it has some bite though
Yea the sound that they have is just so badass. My 2 best freinds have cars ( 2006 sti, and a 2004 bmw m3) and i'm the only one with a big slow truck and i'm ready for a change (2004 suburban Z71) I can probably get one of these and keep up with them just as well as a LS1 would so it's really all in what i get the better deal on...
But thanks for postin the vid man you just fed my addiction to the sound of stangs

imo the 2 valve gts are the worst platform to phuck with to try and go fast. 4 valve modular, or pushrod power is the way to go.
modding a 2 valve you go blower or you dont go fast.

i had the slowest model,97 mustang gt,ran 14.90 stock and with b&m ripper shifter, flowmaster cat-back,k&n filter, svo 70mm throttle body and 3.73 gears it improved to a 14.30.it took all that car had to outrun a 98 silverado 1500 extended cab with a stock 350!

Since most of you don't follow stang news, TFS just released the first aftermarket 2v head. Unported it flows better than any ported stocker. Supposedly ported they are getting 300cfm.
This would finally put a 2v on par with the 4v. I'm waiting to see some real world results before I order some. They've only been out a couple of weeks.

No, his '97 would be a 2V 4.6L. Rated at 215hp, IIRC.
I think the 5.0 was only available in the SN95 cars for the first year, 95. From then on it was the 4.6, and IIRC it got an upgrade to 260hp in '99, the same year the body lines got crisper I think.
And yeah, Mustangs sound WAY better than LS1's. Stangs have sounded good for years, back to the 5.0 days. I can tell one is coming before I can see it, can't really do that with a LS1.
A guy across the street from me had a '99 GT. All stock except for Flowmasters and a x-pipe w/out cats. I know my car would destroy it in a race, but that thing OWNED mine when it came to sound.Last edited by StuntmanMike; 07-09-2009 at 08:27 AM.

I remember when Ford introduced the 4.6 in 96. The 5 liter guys I knew were not happy.

yes the mach 1's have the 4 valves, so do all the cobra's with 4.6's, the 03/04 cobra's where supercharged factory, with 390hp stock.. the best base to start on a mustang.. i have had many of them, about 10 5.0 foxbody mustang, and 2 of the 99-04 mustang.. and if i go back it will be for the 03/04 cobra..

Wow okay lol you've had your share of stangs. Yea i love the terminators they are really somethin else... I would get one in a heart beat over an LS1 F-Body but i just don't have the money... which is why i'm lookin into a gt of the same generation which is turning out to be a bad idea...
You would happen to know any thing about the cobras from 99-01 would you? Are those a good alternative to an f-body since i see that there numbers are relatively close just curious about those also.
Help would be appreciated
