What do you think? 400 for a bolt on ls1 doesnt sound possible. Most I have seen was 340-350 w/full bolt ons.

They might mean 400 at the crank, which is 350ishwhp

It says 440.7 rwhp... what do you think? Must be running Z-max and Weapon-X spark plugs with a ported MAF.

Probably on a Dynojet dyno with exagerated (manipulated) numbers.
Nice of them to use the numbers as bragging rights which is also the reason why Dyno numbers don't really mean squat. Quarter mile trap speed is a better indicator of RWHP.
For all we know the car is a turd on the street and the strip.
Also wheres the list of Bolt-ons ?Last edited by 9T8W66; 07-06-2009 at 09:30 AM.

Put it on a Mustang Dyno and see what it runs. Even those numbers can be scewed with though.

let me add that add looks like 100% bs .... give me 5k ill build a ls1 with stock heads and cam and hell with it stock bottom end with a file and a lotta little work and thiner head gaskets... i know for a fact that with a 00 cam and 02 heads and 90 fast with kooks headers no belts 400 would be a cake walk

Tuesday, December 04, 2007 1:08:06 AM is the last time the page was updated...
if you did a fast 90/90 setup, longtubes, injectors, a very unsafe tune etc.I could see this easy.
Just been talking with SE about a parts mix up.. want me to ask what the bolt ons were?

not possible at all, the highest ive ever seen any LS1 pull on a dyno BONE STOCK is 330 rwhp and thats really rare. With all the bolt ons and a excellent tune you will not get 70+RWHP and get 400RWHP out of the car. Very very friendly dyno and i would question the shop and ask for my money back for a BS dyno session. If my car pulled 400rwhp after i get done with the bolt ons i WILL NOT post those numbers and take it to another dyno and warn the guy not to purposly blow the numbers up and to be as honest and ligit as possible. Hell the guy i took it to, to get my last dyno i asked him how accurate is his dyno, he said his will usually pull low numbers and not to be discouraged and i said thats fine as long as i dont get a fake high number im more than fine with the truth. His has from my own experience pulled the same if not lower then a dyno pack. Ofcourse a mustang dyno is the closest to accuracy. If his car pulls 400RWHP with good tires he should run easily low 12's and even high 11's with a bit more effort.

No accessory drive at all... that's an interesting way to boost your numbers. Will that net you a 15-25 hp increase at the wheels? And just so I don't catch flak: A) I would never consider doing that, and B) I understand that what an engine makes is what it makes -- the accessory drive is eating horsepower that could otherwise go to the wheels.
