Thats probably a stock C6 Corvette, definitely no 580HP.

If that Vette did have 580HP, it would have walked the GTR like it was going backwards. Think about it: A 580WHP 3300lb Corvette vs. a 420WHP 4,000lb pile of garbage. Thats not even a race.

Z06 destroys the GTR on the straights. ZR1 makes mince meat out of the GTR under any conditions, period.

If that Z had 580 HP it most certaintly would at least have headers, you can't even hear it in the video, I think it was a stock C6.

The video title is misleading. That ZO6 is NOT 580hp. This video had a thread posted about it, I forgot where it was. The cars in question are a stock Nissan GTR and a STOCK Corvette Z06.

The owner of the Corvette isn't a very good driver since his shifts are really spaced out as you can hear in the video. You can see towards the middle, when they both go all out, the ZO6 pulls on the top end, like it should, but in the mid range, due to the drivers poor shifting he's equal with the GTR.

Just thought you all should know what the truth of the matter was. No stock GTR is going to put up a fight against a 580hp anything.

Also, Wesman you were a bit harsh on your opinion, but whatever floats your boat. The GTR is a great car, but for the price.... there are cheaper and faster cars you can get. I myself, would rather own a ZO6 than a GTR, because I don't like paddle shifting, the ZO6 looks better, and the LS7 has much more potential than a 3.8TT that Nissan tried to make unmoddable to conceal the drivetrain issues, and it's cheaper!

That was a funny vid, nothing specific at all and a BS title to go along with it. A stock GTR will not beat a Stock Z06 on the straight and calling that a 580hp Z06, lol someone really hates american cars especially a Z06 to make up a title like that and a vid that clearly is trying to put down the Z06 and that person failed.

I saw a GTR last night and a ZR1 two days ago. The ZR1 is wicked. The dork in the GTR was on my nerve. I was in the gas tanker both times so no way to communicate with either of them.

I saw a zr-1 on the freeway about 20min ago. It was beautiful, i boost braked the legacy next to him just to see if he wanted to play but he was old and looked half asleep.

As for the vid a stock c6 z06 traps 5-8mph higher than a stock GTR, i cant see the vid so i dont know if it was a roll race or a dig but from a roll the GTR would get walked HARD.
