F@*%$@* exhaust shops?
I recently got a e-cutout for my camaro. driving around going to numerous exhaust shops asking if they will install it for me (i would much rather install myself, but dont have the tools to do so) most say yes without hesitation. due to the fact that they dont know what a cutout is. i explain it and show the the cutout then they turnaround and say no. they all say im not messing with the cats. when i tell them im installing just before the muffler, nowhere near the cats they still insist on saying no...if you call yourself a exhaust shop atleast understand what the potential customer is asking/saying to you before you say yes or no. atleast look at the car before you make your decision. i found 1 shop that will do this for me which happens to be a farm implement and will do it no questions asked, but with a shop rate of 120/hr...this is bs....

Most states I would think..Technically you are messing with a Federally required subsystem..(emissions) So yah, alot of shops get their panties in a bunch...
I install 'em here..But if the customer supplies their own part (thereby causing me to lose the profit I would have made on the part if I had sold it) I tend to charge a little bit more for the install.. but damn man.. 120 an hour and its not a Dealership ?? Umm ouch.
If they are installed after the cat tho. Can't see how it would be such a big issue in a state that doesn't have a mandatory state safety inspection.

They are cheap, but they weld good if you use quality wire (like the lincoln brand at Home Depot) The wire they come with is kinda "Spattery"
