New Slow Ass

Took my 85 GN to the track last night for the first time, (probably last). Only got one run in at 10.2 @ 70. Felt like driving a Limo down the track. Might have been the slowest car there. The cars stock and that time actually matches what Car and Driver tested inn 85 butt don't matter. That was freaking lame as hell. 60ft was 2.5 and it wasn't due to wheel spin. The thing takes a full intersection to get on the boost. Guess that car is will have to be restricted to show status and cruise nights.

First thought that came to mind. It's a lot more work to make the non intercooled models run and the $ way better spent on my 99 Formula and the wifes 82 bird that both haul ass. As a matter of fact that's the first thing my wife said, She's a keeper.

I had one, although mine was an 87. When you leave the line you should be in boost already. I would leave the line between 8-10 lbs of boost, you might not be able to hold that much atleast get it into boost. That will bring that 60ft down. if it doesn't have one go get an intercoller and stall that bitch.

I have an 87 GN and they have a problem with the header welds leaking that will cause lees boost. I dont know if the 85s have headers but you should check your system for leaks.

When I staged I tried to power brake to build boost but rear tires break loose @ 1400rpm and maybe 1lb of boost. Couldn't build any more boost with out spinning the tires while staged. There,s no exhaust leaks butt there is some surging at higher rpms (sometimes). Things a bitch to tune.

As far as intercooler, meth and soo on, as I said the $ goes into the other two cars for speed upgrades. Plus This car is all original and in excellent unmolested condition so I've decided to keep it that way.
