Do you have to remove lifters to install cam?
I ask this question because I was watching horsepower Tv about two weeks ago and they did a piece on installing a cam in a ls1 engine, And all they did was remove the rockers and the springs, rolled the cam, got the lifters up in the engine and pulled out the cam.Is this how it's done? If so than you don't have to remove the intake. or do you? I do all the work on my older cars and truck but the ls1 engine I know little about. Is this true?

All true. 5/16 wodden dowels cut to length works to hold the lifters up.
