~~R.I.P.~~95 Camaro
~~R.I.P.~~95 Camaro
Tough Day Today. I'm gonna here about this for quite a while but here we go.
My Daughter(now you know the rest of the story) was driving my Car while her Z26 was getting a new Engine Pan installed. Her Previous one was Cast aluminum and Thanks to my Wonderful little cities Roads being repaired had cracked due to bottoming out. So yeah I put her in my Z28, my only other Cars running at this time is the Avalanche(wife drives), and the '91 vette. So yeah... she was Driving the Z28. Right after school lets out today there was a 4 car pile up. My Z28 was the last in line and took it pretty hard.
Here are some Shots:
My Daughter had a gf with her, both Ate the Bags and are O.K.:
Here is the car Shoved under the back of a Chrysler Minivan:
Surprise! Located in the center of this is a Trailer Hitch welded to his Frame. Drivers Side Frame Rail Nailed it.
And she Slowly makes the Reverse Crawl......

I don't think it's savable. I've been through this once before with out Airbag Deployment.
This time the Drivers Front frame Rail is Pushed back through the radiator wall. That Hitch is what Killed it. Not sure what to do with it, This was a B4C Car, yes with T-Tops. It's listed in the Indiana Registry under the 95's car #1. This was formerly a Patrol Car in Muncie.

I'm trying to remember if the front bumper is hollow in maros. I can't remember. The nose looks more like it went underneath the rear bumper of the van rather than directly into.

Condolences. At least your daughter and her friend are ok. I say fix it. It's only sheet metal and plastic -- a few pulls on a frame machine, a lot of parts, a lot of time, a lot of money, and you're back on the road.
