Why I hate people...
So I'm at work taking care of business and when I come outside back to my car its been hit!! The drivers side tail light is completely gone, the hatch is bent and the bumper is completely chewed to fuck. Ofcourse the only 2 guys out there didn't see and thing. So now I want to kill somebody and I'm wishing death on them... Thats when my neighbor drives by as asked if thats my car. I was like yeah who done this!!! She then says she did, it was an accident and went home to get her insureance card. So we call base police and my car later that day goes in the shop. Its going to be fixed but I hear from a friend, that she went back home and told her husband what had happened. She was even considering not saying anything because there wasn't any damage to thier truck..
I don't knwo if I should act on this information or leave it alone. I don't expect the law to do anything because she "considered" not reporting it. I just can't believe people I work with live next door to would consider fucking people over like that. I know its a material object... but I'm really really pissed about what happened.

wouldnt that be a hit and run, you cant just leave the scene of an accident and come back later

Be grateful an idiot did the right thing, say "thank you" and get your car fixed.

technically yes, that is a hit and run but i wouldnt worry about it, no need to start bad blood. They now know how much this car means to you and they might play and eye for an eye if they get in trouble with the law.

You should feel lucky you know who did it. I had the same thing happen to me a cupple of months ago in a parking lot down town and nver had the satisfaction of knowing who did it.

Yeah just get her insurance to cover the costs. If she doesn't cooperate than I'd go to the cops then.

For some reason since I wasn't in the car, and she came back and admitted it. I don't have to pay a $250 deductable. Not sure how that is working out, but atleast that was good news.
Here is a quick pic I took with my phone..
The gap between the hatch and rear fender is like an inch on the damaged side. On the passenger side its closedNot sure how much is bent

you have to pay your deductible up front like that...but you can always sue her insurance company for your deductible back.

If they hit you, there is no deductable......
You don't pay for their mistake...
If you damage your own car, THEN you pay the deductable.

Damn that sucks. I know how you feel had mine hit a few weeks back. Its fixed now but still bugs the hell out of me.
At least she came back, an awful lot of people (assholes) would have never come back.
Hope everything works out.

Dude you missed the entire fucking point of the topic...
The lady is my next door neighbor/co-worker. We've drank beer and hung out around a fire a few times....
The point is she knew damn good and well who's car it was and yet she still drove off. I just can't believe it even crossed her mind to even consider not mentioning it.
