I looked long and hard at the Oneida, Penn State and the Grizzly. In the end I bought the Grizzly G0441 3hp for 1350.00 shipped to my door with 6 months same as cash! I am very pleased with it, I ran a 6" trunk line with 4" drops to all of the machines.

Back in the day Delta was a must, today it is a hit and miss with Delta and some of the other manufacturers. The delta unisaw table saw and the Delta dj20 jointer are great machines. There are a lot of great values in older used equipment. such as, Belsaw planer-molder, Delta Unisaw, Delta jointers from the 1950's thru 1970's etc etc.

    My equipment list:

    1996 Delta 10' Unisaw w/52" Biesemeyer fence..Great saw! I bought new.
    1999 Grizzly 16" Bandsaw..I bought new.
1980's Craftsman Radial Arm Saw..I bought from my friend's dad.
1980's ShopSmith Overarm Pin Router. Bought last year
1950's Delta Jointer. Bought last year and restored it!
    1980's Delta Scrollsaw..Bought used..
2000's Grizzly 1 1/2hp shaper.. Bought used. Like new.
2000's Jet 1 1/2hp shaper.. Bought used. Like new.
    2009 Grizzly Cyclone Dust Collector
1997 Craftsman Floor Drill Press Bought new.
1960's Delta Drill Press.. I restored about 6 years ago.
    1980's Belsaw Planer-Molder.. Bought used
    2007 Jet Planer-Molder.. Bought new.
10 Fingers RAMR Overarm Router.. Bought used like new. Very hard to find!
    Enco 6x48 belt 9" disc sander..Bought new.
    Oscillating Spindle Sander.. bought new.
6"x113" Edge Sander w/42" Platen. I built this puppie from scratch! Works Great!
    Dewalt 10" Mitre Saw
Ingersol Rand 80 Gallon air compressor
Various sanders from Porter Cable to Dynabrade.
Various staple and nail guns from Porter Cable to Dewalt.
Various routers from Porter Cable to Craftsman.

I have left some things out, I know, but you get the Idea!

i have no where enough room for all of those tools. my "shop" is in my basement also, but i live in a tiny row-home apartment in philadelphia. i bought a dewalt 12" compound mitre saw, and a crappy ryobi portable table saw. when i have more space ill be getting some more serious tools.
