IMO 98-02 Formulas are some of the best looking Firebirds out there!
Mine is a non WS6 Formula and came with 3.23's and a aluminum drive shaft.

My car came with above also, but its part of the NHRA edition.

Birdcountry what part of Virginia do you live in. I have seen a red maple T/A cruising up JD sometimes.

Thanks StuntmanMike and the pipes are great, they give the car a deep throaty sound and i still have the manifolds and cats on there too. Im glad i went with the SLP Loudmouth I exhaust, best pipes for the money i think, quick and easy to install too.

I just recently purchased a 02 NBM Formula, and love my new car!!

I have Hooker Longtubes and SLP Loudmouth and now I need rims and tires.

Also I have a tape deck..lol.. time for a cd player with ipod hook up.

The 3.23's (RPO GU5) were an extra cost option but were required on WS6 and SS models (but still at the extra cost).

My 98TA auto has a 323 rear end and it was an option. The title say Formula/Trans Am.

Mine is an 02 NHRA Edition Formula, Black, A4 3.23, plus I bought a Ram Air hood and had it put on. Only mods are a K&N filter and SLP lid right now. Considering heading up to EPP and getting a Procharger but not sure if I can spend the money right now.

I'll have to post pictures later.

I think the WS6 option was only available on Trans Ams in 02, but I could be wrong. At least that's what the dealer told me when I ordered mine. But yeah, the 3.23 was part of the NHRA package too on A4s.

Sorry to sound like a jacka** fellas but what sets the formula apart from all other birds? I heard they're only lighter in weight is this true? Again i apologize for the retarded question.

Definetion of a Formula is "Every thing a Trans Am is without all the Fluff"

Basically T/A's have more standard equpment over a Formula.
The Formula has all the performance equipment of the Trans Am but in the base Firebird Body.

Yeah if I remember right the difference was that the T/A had leather seats, different rear spoiler, different fog lights, and maybe different wheels? And the Formula is a little lighter.
